NearEU Tallinn trip – held in a hybrid format
Due to the Covid-19 situation and rapid rise of cases in Tallinn in early November, the format of the NearEU trip was modified and conducted in a hybrid format. On November 13th, students and the organizers of the NearEU trip gathered in the facilities of the J. Skytte Institute of Political Studies, and were joined by the guest-speakers, who took part in the event via Zoom.
Participants of the trip had the great chance to discuss the future of European integration and the EU’s relationship with its Eastern neighbour with Mr. Ekke Nõmm (Director of the Eesti Diplomaatide Kool/ Estonian School of Diplomacy ), Mr. Gert Antsu (Director of the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership and former Estonian ambassador to Ukraine ), and H.E. Daniele Rampazzo (Italian Ambassador to Estonia Ambasciata d’Italia – Sezione Consolare – Tallinn). Detailed program of the modified trip, can be found here.
It is planned to conduct the actual visit to Tallinn in the early stage of spring semester in 2021, when the situation with the Covid-19 cases will normalize.
